In this series, I feature Rad Girls that are energetic, ambitious, fun, loving, uber talented, kind and artistic... I search all around social media for the raddest girls on the planet and I've came across some amazing girls I would love to share their stories with you. This April, the month of quarantine, we caught up with blogger, influencer, model and uber stylish, Jamiqua!

Introduce yourself:  My name is Jamiqua Janielle

Where are you from? Born & raised?

I am currently living in Jacksonville, Florida and I was born in Ocala Florida and raised in so many other places on the east coast since my dad was in the military.

As a Rad Girl who loves fashion, tell us where your inspiration comes from and when you realized your love of fashion?

Through the years I have had many inspirations. As a child, I was inspired by Tyra Banks and grew to love Lupita Nyonga for her vibrant and daring style and sweet personality.   My love for fashion started as a child I loved to play with dolls and do “dress up”.

Share your experience of modeling for NYFW 2018? Do you still aspire to model?

My experience for NYFW was overwhelming but exhilarating. I didn’t get to walk for top fashion show like Victoria Secrets however I did walk for Indonesia Fashion & culture for designer Coreta_Louise, For the love of Fashen show with Bougie Saints and a few others. I went to NY  with only 1 show booked and came back walking for 3 shows and 6 designers total. It was a great experience and I would definitely do it again. I currently am not with an agency however, I still practice freelance modeling. Modeling will always be a passion but I want to connect and inspire women and girls in a much larger way. That is why I create my fashion blog jamiquajanielle.com

Favorite stores to shop? H&M, Shein.

Do you thrift shop? If so, what was your favorite piece of clothing you found?

I love thrift shopping. My favorite piece that I found was this cute bright yellow crossbody that was only $5 and it looked brand new.

Your skin color and hair is beautiful.

Tea with a splash of honey.

Dress or Rompers?

It depends on the mood.

Dream vacation location and why?

I have always wanted to visit Barcelona, Spain ever since I saw Cheetah girls. Ha

Favorite movie?

Titanic

What's your take on dating? Any advice?

I would say just be open and honest about what you look forward to while dating, listen to your gut its usually never wrong if you feel that something is off, and have fun!

Dream collaborations? If so, Who with and why?

I would love to collaborate with Lupita Nyogya, she is a dream. I know she isn’t a fashion designer but she has been in the model industry and if we could have a photoshoot together with really bright and vibrant colors or even if I can chat with her it would make my day.

My favorite Dear Laney piece is the Camilia
